Opt-in and Opt-out Policy

District Lines is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. This statement explains how we collect information from you and what we do with it.

When you join our District Lines mailing list, you are:

1. “Opting In” as defined in the anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction.
2. Giving us permission to contact you by email.

When you join a District Lines Vendor mailing list, you are:

1. “Opting In” as defined in the anti-spam laws in your jurisdiction.
2. Giving the vendor permission to contact you by email.
3. Acknowledging that District Lines does not control what vendors do with your email once you’ve opted in to their mailing list.
4. Acknowledging that a District Lines Vendor may have different privacy policies, processes and rules for their mailing list. District Lines recommends reaching out to that vendor specifically for more information.

We will not abuse this consent. We will send you a newsletter or promotional email from time to time.

INFORMATION REQUESTS: District Lines offers a variety of online stores. In order for you to make full use of the resources on our site you are generally asked to provide some basic information. When you register as a customer with any of our stores by placing an order, you will be asked for your e-mail address.

SINGLE OPT-IN: All of our stores use what is called a Single Opt-In method. No action is required for you to receive promotional emails from District Lines.

OPT-OUT POLICY: We offer visitors to the Site a means for controlling the use of browsing information. If, at any time after registering for ordering, you change your mind about receiving information from us or about the use of information volunteered by you, please send us a request specifying your new choice. To opt out of marketing or promotional emails, please click the unsubscribe link in the body of the email communication.

PROMOTIONS: Unless you are Opted-In, we will NOT send you emails from our online store partners or any other promotional materials. Please note that a District Lines Opt-In email will always come to you from districtlines.com, but if you’ve Opted-In to a vendor’s mailing list, their policies may differ from ours. Our online store partners DO NOT have your information if you’ve only opted-in to our District Lines mailing list. If you opt in to a vendor’s mailing list, they will receive your email address.

COOKIES: Cookies are small text files that most Web sites, including District Lines, place on your computer. We do not use cookies in any of our opt-in forms.

SHARED INFORMATION: District Lines does not provide personal individual information about you to others. District Lines will not under any circumstance share your personal information with any business partner, advertiser or other organization, unless you have specifically opted-in for us to do so. District Lines may share numerical demographic information gathered from its customers, in aggregate form, with others such as potential new clients for online stores. No personal/individual information is provided to clients, advertisers, or sponsors.

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS: District Lines cannot guarantee that the information you provide to us is completely safe, although we are careful to try to prevent problems. There may be technical problems beyond our control that may make it accessible to unauthorized persons. If District Lines is acquired, our user information may be among the assets transferred to the buyer in the sale. Internet-based commerce is dynamic and changing. We may change our privacy policy in the future in order to adjust to these changes. We recommend that you check it frequently. It is your responsibility to send us your updated email address. As a subscriber, you also have the choice to Opt-out at any time, and for any reason. Email sent to you by District Lines will always provide information on how to opt-out from the list. Once you opt-out, your data will be permanently removed from the database.
