“It’s angry, it’s dark, it’s honest, it’s real,” says Ashworth about the new record, “We wanted to dress ourselves up in the intensity of life, love, and regret....and then show everyone how our nightmare really exists. And I, the Drunkards was written in frustration and silence…It needed to be designed and then played out in real life situations. We chose Andreas Magnusson (Planet Red Studios, Scarlet) because of what he did with his own music; we knew we would get that darkness we were looking for.”
